After the flagship event for the composite industry, JEC World, Editor James Bakewell reviews recent developments in the use of flax fibres for the reinforcement of composites. 

Bally Ribbon Mills (BRM) is to highlight its expertise in three-dimensional (3D) weaving at JEC World, which takes place in Paris, France, on 5–7 March 2024.

Owing to concerns over the current outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19), the composites industry’s flagship event, JEC World, is to be postponed until the 12–14 May 2020.

The world is changing at a rapid pace, driven in major part by advancements in technology. The high-performance composites industry is no different and, as James Bakewell reports, at the 2018 edition of JEC World held in Paris, France, on 6–8 March, several key trends became apparent.

JEC World to highlight strength and diversity of composites market
