The 2020 edition of the show was due to be held on 3–5 March, but organiser JEC Group of Paris, France, says that the recent spread of the coronavirus to new countries – especially those playing important roles in the composites industry (such as China, South Korea and Italy) – has obliged it to reassess the situation. Increasingly stringent travel restrictions, implemented by both governments and participating companies, have reduced the number of visitors and exhibitors able to attend the show drastically. Looking to safeguard the health and safety of exhibitors, visitors, partners and staff, JEC Group says it has therefore decided to change the dates of the show.
An official statement on JEC Group’s website reads: “We are aware that this decision will require industry professionals, exhibitors, partners, engineers, researchers and buyers to re-schedule their attendance, which will have a significant impact on their organisations, as it will for the JEC Group. We trust though that given the current situation, which is continuously evolving, everyone involved will understand our decision.”
