The company, of Mönchengladbach, Germany, says that its VertiDry convection dryer can be installed before or after a stenter for the pre-drying of sensitive fabrics or after the coating of airbags, denim fabrics and glass-fibre substrates. Other applications for the machine include the finishing of sportswear, outerwear, carpets, geotextiles and tarpaulins.
The VertiDry can be integrated into both new and existing finishing lines. A single unit can accommodate approximately eight metres of fabric at any given time and Monforts can build multi-storey versions.
The VertiDry can be powered using a variety of sources, or combinations of sources, is equipped with an integrated exhaust-air duct, and can be connected to a heat-recovery system such as the Monforts Energy Tower.
Marketing Manager at Monforts, Nicole Croonenbroek, says: “The new VertiDry has been designed in response to demands from the market for a space- and energy-saving vertical dryer to fulfil the demand in terms of carbon-dioxide reduction and the need to integrate into special processes, especially in the treatment of technical textiles.”
ITMA Asia + CITME will take place in Singapore on 28-31 October 2025.
