As from 1 October 2008,Teijin Aramid has increased prices for its para-aramid products -Twaron and Technora - by a minimum of 8%. The price for its metaaramid product -Teijnconex - will increase by a minimum of 15%. The company says that, despite ongoing cost-saving programmes and other efficiency optimization measures, it has been unable to offset the extreme rise in costs involved in the production and transportation of aramid products.
