North Sails Group says it has developed an improved construction for sailcloth fabric. In US Patent 6 725 885, the company from Milford, Connecticut, USA, says the invention is a warp-oriented woven sailcloth in which the warp yarns are relatively uncrimped relative to those of the weft (fill).Moreover, the yarn weight ratios,weft:warp, are between 1:1 and 0.22:1.
