A fabric in which the joining of the warp and weft threads is improved without the need for additional fixing threads is the subject of US Patent 6 706 376. Huesker Synthetic GmbH, Gescher, Germany, says the construction, essentially a warp knit, forms the basis of an economical geotextile.
