Dallas Zoo was the recent setting for a special kind of fibre resilience testing of SmartStrand floorcovering by its maker Mohawk. As part of its Zoo Challenge, the floorcovering, made with DuPont Sorona fibre, was tested by six African elephants, three camels and a black rhino, weighing a total of 50,000 pounds and successfully withstood the onslaught of hoof prints, mud and dirt.
