The fourth international conference to be organized by the Institute of Nanotechnology, Stirling, UK, dealt with the latest research and development in smart, nano- and technical textiles for medical, industrial and clothing applications. Held at the prestigious venue of the Royal College of Physicians, London, UK, the international nature of the conference was demonstrated both by its presenters, leading experts from ten countries, and the delegates it attracted, travelling from some 22 countries overall.
