Researchers at Empa have modified the ASTM E96 method so as to evaluate the moisture sensitive character of membranes and fabrics and its influence on their water vapour transmission rate. The method is easy and cheap to adopt as ASTM E96 is already widely used in the industry, report Daniel Crespy, Markus Weder and Rene Rossi.
