A UK specialist in bespoke mulitaxial reinforcements is to launch a range of biaxial fabrics made using intermediate-modulus (IM) carbon fibre. Leicesterbased Formax claims its new reinforcements are significantly cheaper, but still offer improved mechanical performance, compared with rival materials used in motorsport applications and sporting goods.
