A soft and flexible surgical soft tissue mesh has been developed by DSM IP Assets. The material, which could be used for repairing soft tissue such as during a hernia repair operation, combines flexibility with sufficient tenacity to obtain a thinner mesh than those currently existing, says the company of Heerlen, The Netherlands.
