A programme for collecting and recycling used garments in China is the first of its kind in that country, according to the two partners responsible Teijin Group of Japan and the local sports apparel company Li Ning Co Ltd. The programme will exploit Eco Circle, a closed-loop system incorporating technology for the chemical recycling of polyester, which Teijin Fibers introduced in 2002.
