Kinetic Concepts (KCI) has claimed partial victory in its ongoing patent infringement case with Smith & Nephew. According to KCI, the Patents Court of the High Court of Justice of England and Wales entered a written judgement indicating that certain aspects of Smith & Nephew's foambased negative pressure wound-therapy (NPWT) dressing kits infringe on a patent owned by Wake Forest University Health Sciences and licensed to KCI.
