An absorbent article in which the liquid-retentive absorbent layer includes an odour controlling member is described in US Patent 7 473 817 by Kao. The invention could be applied to sanitary napkins, disposable diapers, adult incontinence pads and panty liners, etc., which offer high odour controlling effects and are resistant to the leakage of undesirable odours.
