AGY has launched a new glass fibre biomaterial reinforcement for the medical device implant market. HPB glass fibre is said to be suitable for long-term implant applications of more than 30 days and is compatible with a wide range of thermoplastic polymers, such as polyetheretherketone (PEEK), polyethyleneimine (PEI) and polyphenylene sulphide (PPS).
