The US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit has upheld the validity of the two Wake Forest University Health Sciences patents involved in the litigation against Blue Sky Medical, Medela AG and Medela Inc. The patents encompass numerous and varied claims related to Kinetic Concepts' (KCI's) VAC technology used for the treatment of patients with serious, complex wounds.
