Japan's Unicharm has acquired Australian Pacific Paper Products (APPP), the second largest manufacturer of disposable hygiene products in Australia behind Kimberly-Clark, for around A$165 million (US$116 million), it is reported. APPP produces Babylove diapers and has an estimated 20% share of the Australian market, with 2007 sales of A$97.6 million (US$68.7 million).
