Composite structures for delivering therapeutic agents are described in International Patent WO 2007/066339 by the Ramot at Tel Aviv University. The structures could be used, for instance, in biodegradable scaffolds for tissue engineering in which biologically active molecules are incorporated and controllably released over time.
