The global medical market for nanotechnology applications generated US$1.7 billion in 2007, according to a new study from BCC Research. This is expected to increase to US$1.9 billion in 2008 and US$3.8 billion in 2013 for a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 14.9%. Additionally, this market has the potential to reach US$9.4 billion in 2018 at a CAGR of 19.9%.
