MicroRheologics, part of Italy's Copan Group, has introduced nylon flocked swabs that are said to significantly improve collection and release of buccal cells for deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) extraction and identification. The swabs are being distributed in the UK exclusively by Sterilin.
