A flame retardant (FR) that combines microencapsulated ammonium polyphosphate (APP) and melaminebased particles retained in a base material is the subject of International PatentApplicationWO 2006/075136. Applicant Dartex Coating Ltd of Nottingham,UK, says it has designed the flame retardant (FR) material to be coated on or laminated to a textile or incorporated in a product during its formation.
