Toray Industries has developed an oil agent for precursors that is the heart of an efficient process, the Japanese company claims, for producing uniform, high quality carbon fibres. In European Patent EP 1 837 424, theTokyo-based Toray says that the resulting carbon fibres have moduli that vary by 10% or less.
