The International Bureau for the Standardization of Man-made Fibres (BISFA) has issued new and updated standards on test methods for cellulosic filament yarn. Such yarns, with a wide range of uses in apparel, home furnishings and technical applications, are extensively produced and processed in Europe, where their market is currently almost 100 kt. The standards cover yarns of viscose, cupro (cupra), acetate, triacetate and lyocell.
