Fiberweb is to close its loss-making manufacturing operations at its Gray Court,South Carolina,USA, facility by the end of 2007. It was anticipated that the spunbond polyester production line at Gray Court would continue to operate through the third quarter and perhaps beyond,until that business is moved to other spunbond polyester lines at Fiberweb's Old Hickory, Tennessee, USA, facility. Around 50 employees will be affected.
