For A$6 million (US$5.1 million), New Zealand natural health company Comvita has acquired Australia-based wound care specialist Medihoney. The purchase consisted of A$5.5 million (US$4.7 million) in Comvita shares and the remainder in cash. Former owner, Capilano Honey -- Australia's largest honey manufacturer -- will have just over 8% shareholding in Comvita through the Medihoney sale.
