At the Techtextil Symposium held in June 2007 in Frankfurt am Main,Germany, Anne Toomey,Deputy Head of the Textiles Department,Royal College of Art, London,UK, described the "Visible Invisibility" project, which is investigating the possibility of developing contamination-aware fabric surfaces for textiles used in the healthcare environment.
