Extended-wear silver dressing wins US approval
A silver alginate wound dressing, developed by UK firm Advanced Medical Solutions (AMS) has won marketing clearance from the US Food and Drug Administration. The product is indicated for use on moderate to heavily exuding partial to full thickness wounds, including postoperative wounds, trauma wounds, leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers, and graft and donor sites.
