Ahlstrom Corp has signed an agreement to acquire Fabriano Filter Media SpA, based in Sassoferrato, Italy. Fabriano is a manufacturer of microglass filter media, serving mainly the highefficiency air filtration market. The cost of the transaction, expected to close at the beginning of the second quarter 2007, is approximately Euro7 million.
