Advansa has agreed to sell its polyethylene terephthalate (PET), purified terephtalic acid (PTA), which is used to make polyethylene terephthalate (PET), and preform businesses to Spain's La Seda de Barcelona SA. The businesses to be sold currently operate in the UK, Turkey and Romania. Completion is subject to the necessary regulatory approvals.
