The All Nippon Nonwovens Association (ANNA) reports growth in the medical/hygiene sector for nonwovens produced in Japan last year. In 2005, nonwovens for these end-uses accounted for 87 327 tonnes of the total 313 941 tonnes produced (Table 1), representing a leading share of 27.8% of total nonwovens manufacture.
