A dressing with built-in pain medication, described as a world first, has been launched by Coloplast. Called Biatain Ibu, the new type of dressing is claimed to be able to reduce ongoing pain for people with chronic wounds, such as leg ulcers and pressure sores, by delivering ibuprofen directly into the wound.
