Given its huge market size, the baby sector in China is one on which many foreign and local companies are now focusing. Addressing the recent EDANA Outlook Personal Care Products Conference in Sitges/Barcelona, Spain, Melissa Wang, Head of Marketing of DSG International (China), explained that around 60% of China's population of around 1.3 billion people live in rural areas, with 40% in urban areas. Urbanization is growing rapidly through government policies to expand existing cities and create new ones in underdeveloped areas, she said.
