A fibrous material for incorporation into an absorbent article, such as a diaper, pant diaper, incontinence guard, sanitary napkin or wound dressing, is outlined in US Patent 6 888 945 by SCA Hygiene Products. The material can be used as a liquid acquisition layer underneath a topsheet, as a topsheet or as an integrated topsheet/liquid acquisition layer.
