Brazil's newly created Sea Police National System (NEPOM) has chosen DSM Dyneema as the preferred supplier to armour its patrol boats. To date, this division of the Brazilian Federal Police has 11 armoured boats patrolling the port of Rio de Janeiro. Additional units will be released between 2006 and 2008.
