A radiation-shielding gown for use in the treatment of fibromyalgia is outlined by Frieder Kempe in US Patent 6 868 854. The gown is made from a fabric woven or knitted of a yarn consisting of a non-conductive fibre, such as nylon, and 2-35 wt% of an electrically conductive filament, preferably stainless steel alloy.
