Lenzing has announced it will build its own viscose fibre production plant in China. Situated near Nanjing, the site will have an annual capacity of about 60 kt of viscose staple fibres for textile and nonwoven applications. Startup is planned in the fourth quarter of 2006 after a construction time of about 18 months.
