A bandage for closing a wound or incision is described in US Patent 6 822 133 by ClozeX Medical. The device is an alternative to sutures or staples and provides a non-invasive method for wound or incision closure, suggests the company of Wellesley, Massachusetts, USA. The bandage (1) includes two flat flexible components (5, 25), the lower surfaces of which are coated with pressure-sensitive, skin-compatible adhesive to facilitate attachment to the skin.
