Professor Martin Bide of the Department of Textiles, Fashion Merchandising and Design at the University of Rhode Island, Kingston, Rhode Island, USA, and Matthew Phaneuf, President of biomedical company BioSurfaces of Ashland, Massachusetts, USA, have developed a polyester-based wound dressing surface that is said to double infection resistance while enhancing blood-clotting properties.
