Italy's Pantex Group is to cease production of spunlaced nonwovens to concentrate on its core feminine hygiene business. The group, based in Pistoia, entered the spunlaced market in 1996 with the establishment of Finpantex, and increased capacity to 7 kt a year by updating an existing production line, with the bulk of the output aimed at the household wipes market.
