A new type of blast-proof curtain that when stretched gets thicker, rather than thinner, is being developed to provide better protection from the effects of bomb explosions. The UK Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) project is being led by the University of Exeter in collaboration with its spin-out company Auxetix and three other partners.
