During the 33rd America's Cup, sailing team Alinghi - the winner of the last competition and therefore defender of the cup - is using a new water repellent technology on its sailing jackets to ensure maximum repellency under the harshest of conditions. The jackets, produced by Swiss brand ODLO, use Barrier by HeiQ - a superhydrophobic technology developed and manufactured by fellow Swiss company HeiQ Materials.
