New washable APS systems
Dow Corning has introduced two new versions of its Active Protection System – the S-Range, based on three dimensional spacer fabrics, and the TP-Range of thermoplastic silicone materials. Both are said to be effective over a broad range of temperatures from –20C to +40C and have the added benefit of washability. The S-Range in particular, maintains its performance for up to 50 washes at 40C, making it ideal for incorporation into garments.
