The US Patent and Trademark Office has issued two patents for the use of naturally occurring nanotubes (HNTTM) to NaturalNano, based in Rochester, New York. Both are in the field of clean energy areas, the first for hydrogen storage and the second for the use of mineral-based nanotechnology in ultracapacitors - a fast-growing industry where nanotechnology is having a profound impact.
