Nanofibre developments are taking centre stage in Japan as the country's producers continue to pour considerable energy and resources into man-made fibre innovation. This is despite the fact that general man-made fibre production in the country has declined by half a million tonnes in the decade to 2007, when 200,000 tonnes of cellulosics and 1.1 million tonnes of synthetics were produced.
