Gore’s membrane opposition rejected
The European Patent Office (EPO) has rejected WL Gore’s attempts to have the European Patent EP1139805 owned by Nextec of Italy withdrawn. The patent relates to a lamination process for breathable waterproof membranes on leather and is the basis for OutDry, Nextec’s technology for the manufacture of waterproof and breathable footwear and gloves.
