    PP sets sail at Olympics

A new metallocene-based polypropylene (PP) fibre produced under the trademark Dryarn by Aquafil has been selected by fellow-Italian company Slam for use in the jersey for the national sailing team that competed in this year’s Olympic games. Slam chose the PP fibre, based on a Metocene PP resin produced by LyondellBasell Industries, due to the unprecedented levels of comfort and performance it achieves in skin-contact textile applications.
