The Gottlieb-Daimler Stadium roof in Stuttgart, Germany, would have the capacity to generate an annual output of 730,000 kWh of power if the latest photvoltaic flexibles were integrated into the PTFE/glass fabric panels of its membrane roof. This is based on the calculations of SolarNext AG of Germany, part of the Hightex Group, which has been a pioneer of membrane structures, especially in Germany, and is now promoting the integration of solar panels in such future projects.
