At the recent Index nonwovens show in Geneva, Switzerland, Ahlstrom claimed the Innovation Award in the Nonwovens Rollgoods category for Disruptor. This wetlaid technology is designed to be used in pleated, spiral wound, disc or flat sheet media formats. The key to its effectiveness is the grafting of alumina nanofibres onto microglass fibre.
