    Nanofibres stop bleeding

    A self-assembling peptide solution that creates a nanofibre barrier is able to stop bleeding from wounds within 15 s, according to scientists in the US and Hong Kong. The team says that the technique could ultimately cut surgery times by half and reduce the need for blood transfusions.
